A NEW SCHOOL FOR THE ISLANDS

I know lots of you are waiting for the information about the New School, well here it is. The large earth moving equipment has now got to the islands and has started work on the site today. It’s odd that the build has started on the day that the new Government has announced that wants more schools to become academies. This is a great chance for the Five Islands School to get itself out of the clutches of the Local Authority. This would certainly be a hugh bonus to the school and the overall community…Good Luck Bryce and all the Staff at the school.

Although there is fog here at the moment the weekend is looking great so why not think about a Day Trip to the islands. You could cruise to the islands on the Scillonian 111 or you could fly in by plane from Newquay and Lands End or take the helicopter form Penzance and get this great view of Tresco and Bryher.

Although the weather looked rather as though it was going to do it’s best to make the weekend ‘not what it usually is’ it failed and a really good time was had by all. All the intimate details can be found on other sites suffice it to say the islands were very busy and lots of Lycra prevailed. Anyway here is a pics of the Mens Champions, Par Beach (WARRIOR), on their winning pull towards the finishing line.

After a little blip in the weather it’s all looking good for the weekend.
